“I hate hitting pause.”
- Coco Gauff
Already a star, the spotlight will shine brighter than ever on tennis sensation Coco Gauff this summer. Competing in two Grand Slam tournaments, including a title defense of one, and the biggest international tournament, means all eyes are on Coco.
And with the world watching, it’s music that keeps her on top of her game, on and off the court. The busier Coco gets, the more she turns to music to stay hyped through it all.
“I’m warming up before I hit to music and then cooling down to music, so I’m always having music a part of my routine, especially when there’s long days and it kind of helps change your energy. If you’re feeling a little bit low in energy you can play some pumped up song and it gets you in the mood for a match and it also helps me relax before matches, too.”
Because music is so important to her, Coco needs to hear it all, all the time. For that, she’s got Bose Ultra Open Earbuds. So she hears fans and her favorite tracks. Her entourage of friends, photographers, and the latest drop from her favorite artist, Little Simz. All at once.
That’s exactly what happened on set of Coco’s latest video spot for Bose.
“I would say the Bose open earbuds are really cool. It feels like the music or the sound is being played inside your head, but you can still hear everything that’s going on outside your head.”
Given their mutual fandom and love for music, Bose surprised Coco by bringing her favorite artist to the recent shoot. It was the perfect opportunity for Coco to hear Little Simz’s track “Mood Swings” with Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, while meeting the British rapper in real life.
“I love Little Simz. I love [her song] ‘Mood Swings.’ I love that, the hypeness of the song.”

And beyond music, Coco knows she can make a statement with Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, too.
“I usually wear so much silver jewelry, I think [Ultra Open Earbuds] really complements. I love chunky jewelry. And even though it is not a jewelry piece, it looks like it [is] and I think it goes with my aesthetic.”
